Don’t Let Summer Wreak Havoc on Your Child’s Teeth

For most kids, summer is the best time of the year. They are out of school, enjoying the outdoors, and out of their routine. Summer can also easily become a time when dental care is out of mind. Follow a few small steps to help fight off those cavity creeps:

Water down your lemonade.
Drink a glass of water after consuming high-sugar or acidic beverages.
Chew sugar-free gum after chewing popcorn to help remove those pesky kernels.
Get out and go to the Farmer’s Market! Let your kids pick out something healthy to eat that day. If they pick it out, they’ll be more excited about eating fruits and veggies!

While none of these are actual substitutes for brushing your teeth, they can help when a brush isn’t available!
