We offer all types of dental fillings, and each type of material has advantages and disadvantages and we will explain them to help you pick what is right for you.
Amalgam fillings are silver-colored dental fillings. Amalgam fillings typically last longer than other fillings and are less expensive. This material is usually used for a larger filling or in the back of the mouth where more force is used to chew.
Resin fillings are typically the same color as the tooth and thus a better option for parts of the teeth that are visible. Resin also works well in small to medium-sized cavities.
The best way to know which type of filling is right for you, is to come in and have your cavity evaluated. Dr. Matz and his assistant will then go over all of your options.
