Meet The Dentist
Dr. Marty J. Matz

I knew I wanted to be a dentist when I had my first dental visit at age four. I had a great dentist who was technically excellent, very well educated, caring and friendly. He could tell by the interest I had in his instruments and what he did that I could some day be a dentist like him. Today I look back at his meticulously sterile office and realize he was also practicing infection control that was above and beyond what most dentists were practicing at the time. His values became my values.

I received my dental degree from Creighton University Dental School in Omaha where I was born and raised. I have a patient-centered dental practice located in the heart of the city within easy reach of any neighborhood. I practice general dentistry and enjoy all aspects of the profession; treating the entire mouth and all it's conditions as it relates to the body as a whole. I am passionate about treating entire families from grandchildren to grandparents. Each patient, man or woman of any age, is an individual with individual physical and emotional needs. And I have a special place in my heart for fearful patients.

My professional affiliations keep me on top of my craft. I am active in my local, state and national dental societies. I am a Member of the Omaha District Dental Society, the Nebraska Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I attend regular seminars in a well respected study club. And, I always exceed the required number of hours of continuing education.

My hobbies exploit my creative side. I enjoy playing and singing music, creating artwork, dental photography, gardening and church involvement. During the winter months I visit schools with a show that teaches children about dentistry using magic, puppets and music.

Just as I strive to be a good provider for my dental family of patients I strive to be a great family man for my wife and three children.
